I look at what’s going on in New Orleans and Mississippi and my heart goes out to all the people there. Most of the 1 million people that this natural disaster has affected have NOTHING to go back too, no jobs, no home and some no family. They have no water or food, and many people have died…
The Red Cross and many other organizations are doing what they can but they can always use some assistance. Beginning this coming Monday I will receive further training and will be answering phones and doing anything else that I can at the Red Cross Headquarters. If you’re not able to volunteer your time they can always use a donation.
The people in those states HAVE IT BAD!!! ..We don’t. Yea, am sure we all have this or that happening, but let’s get real!
You know these days, actually since the Tsunami occurred, when people ask me “how you doing?” I respond with “Am doing GREAT!” Yea, I was unemployed for 6 months and begin working again 3 months ago, am still behind a bill or two; I don’t own a home yet, I want to be in a meaningful relationship with an intelligent sexy and good hearted woman but I am not. When I look at the big picture these are trivial situations. …
Several reasons why I am doing “GREAT” and I really believe that this applies to many of us. I know where my close relatives are. I am healthy. I can take a shower. I have a job to go too each weekday morning. I eat what I want when I want. I can fill in the blank. I am fill in the blank. We can go on and on to look for thing to be grateful for and we should. For me I try to do this on a daily basis, some days are better then others but the reality is...is that I AM DOING GREAT AND SO ARE YOU!
