Our flight to Kuwait had a lay over in Ireland...5 hour stop over. The plane was from the 1970..a DC 10 I believe.
This is Tent City in Kuwait. I was here for 6 days and when I arrived the temperature was 115 degrees. It was a bit rough in that you have 100's of military and civilian personnel coming though here at every hour and day and night..non stop..so you don't get much sleep, the bathroom are communal and can get quit dirty and smelly...there were Rats and spiders in my tent...but all and all it was't that bad.
There was a sand storm for about 3 days while I was there. flights to Iraq were cancelled due to the storm.
